Week Three Blog

I believe that the first ad was intended for animal lovers (specifically dogs) as well as people with close knit families during the holidays,as it shows animals (a family of sorts) enjoying a gift (bought for the kid in the commercial),instead of the kid being the most excited for the gift the dog is instead, and that is supposed to revoke a reaction of "awww" from most people who really like dogs or just animals in general, where as this would have next to no effect on an audience that did not care much for animals (specifically dogs)

The last commercial is intended for an audience of party people,as well as people who enjoy having beer with friends (the reason why the drink is being shown with people enjoying themselves all across the country in parties enjoying themselves is to imply that the drink is the direct cause of tsaid event being a good time.) it is very different from the first commercial in the way that it is obviously intended for adults of drinking age where as the first one was more widely familiy oriented (Kids included.).

Week 2 Blog prompt assignment

I am currently a member of the Defiance College community,I joined back in August of 2016 a year and a half after graduating from high school and things have gone pretty smoothly since then, aside from your average everyday bump here and there of course. I'll be a member of Defiance college for the next three to four years, until I graduate from here and either move onto Full Sail University or wind up working for my Dad's business up in Rhode Island. I've enjoyed my time in this community due to the amazing people that belong to it. And that is what really makes a difference.

Week Five Blog Post

Both of the below linked articles address two different dangerous political ideologies that have sprouted up recently. The first article America First contains a short synopsis of an ideology called America First, which according to the author of the article is a nearly the same as a similarly named pro-nazi movement that fought against Roosevelt before the United States entered WW2. Citing several random blog posts from years ago written by Trump's now political adviser Stephen Bannon about him allegedly admiring Nazis and Vlad Putin and somehow conflating the two together as being one thing. The second article Anti Democracy talks about another dangerous political ideology called "The alt-right" the author of this article then cites several posts by someone who appears to be deep into this movement named Yarvin, whom has been in contact with Stephen Bannon again allegedly spouting utter nonsense that the political adviser seems to take to heart without question. If either group was to take hold of politics in America the whole country would be in trouble, meaning Nazis would most likely take over the planet according to the authors of both articles and the evidence that they provide.

Second Blog Post

So far the second semester has been rather enjoyable. I honestly like it here better now after four weeks away during winter break. As exhausting as these new classes are as a whole I still find them extremely rewarding.
The good thing is that third and fourth semesters I'll have nothing but computer classes to attend.. Personally I am really looking forward to my computer forensics course, but until then Python is just as fun since I'll be applying the skills from that class to the other ones in the computer forensics course list. The only thing this semester that I expect to be a real challenge is writing for this English class,as I don't really enjoy reading as much as I did when I was a bit younger which is unfortunate because reading is interesting in general. The other challenge of this class being the college level writing for essays and the like. But aside from that I expect the rest of the year to be smooth sailing. In conclusion I hope the year turns out well for the people reading this too.

First Blog Writing Prompt Assignment

After waking up in a jail cell and finally coming to my senses I find five objects on the cell floor.
The first of which is a game cartridge containing the game Pokemon Moon. This is a newly released game by Nintendo for my 3DS. The cartridge itself is about a half inch in size and made of gray plastic. A 3DS is a portable handheld gaming system also made by Nintendo, which funnily enough is the second object that I found. I find that it's in fairly good condition. Its colored black with a rather large screen,it's one of the newer models. The third object that I find is a handful of code cards from Gamestop. They are all for an exclusive downloadable Pokemon. I thought to myself "What are those for?" I then began piecing the events of the night back together with the last two objects. The first being a receipt for a local Fed-ex printing company. The Fed-ex company creates copies of business cards. The total on the receipt was 25 dollars for a box of 150 code card copies. The last item was a copy of one of the aforementioned code cards printed by the Fed-ex company. It had a anti copy watermark now clearly visible. Due to the watermark it was now obvious that it was a fake. Suddenly it all made sense. I'd been thrown in prison for counterfeiting code cards and selling them for profit the night before. "I should have made sure they didn't have copy protection first." I said as I slump back into the prison bed and fall asleep.
